Welcome to our families gluten-free journey. We're a tight-knit crew from Utah: me, the main cook; my wife, Emily; and our daughters, Greer, 9, and Maeve, 7. Our world changed when we found out Greer has Celiac disease. Suddenly, gluten-free wasn't just a choice; it became our way of life.

This website is where we share what we're learning. It is also about Greer's independence in cooking for herself. With Celiac this is going to be an important part of her life. The shift to gluten-free cooking, the challenges we face, and the victories we celebrate are real, sometimes messy, but always made with love.

A Message from the Celiac Sage Junior: 

       Hi there! I'm Greer, I'm 9 years old, and my world is full of adventures, both in books and in the kitchen. When I found out I have Celiac disease, it was a bit scary at first, but then it became another adventure. It's like I'm a detective, figuring out which foods are safe for me and learning all about gluten-free ingredients.

I absolutely love to bake. Give me a recipe, and I'll follow it to the letter, watching ingredients come together to create something delicious and safe for me to eat. It's like magic! I dream about making my very own cookbook one day, filled with all my favorite gluten-free recipes.

Reading is my superpower. It takes me to different worlds, teaches me new things, and now, it's helping me learn how to cook and bake gluten-free. I imagine sharing my future cookbook with people like me, who love reading and baking but need to avoid gluten.

This website is a bit like my diary and my test kitchen rolled into one. I'll share my baking experiments, the successes, the oops moments, and everything I learn along the way.
